AIA Florida celebrates Sandra Botros! We’re thrilled to share that Sandra Botros, an Architectural Intern in our Miami Studio, has been awarded AIA Florida’s Bronze Medal.   The annual AIA recognition applauds outstanding achievements in architecture and design, and Sandra's accomplishments truly merit this distinguished honor. Pursuing her Master's degree at Florida International University, Sandra dedicated her thesis to the sustainable advancement of design, exploring the potential of bioengineered materials in building construction. 10SB Miami Hits the Ground Running! Our Miami studio took part in the 2024 Lexus Corporate Run, an iconic event in South Florida's fitness scene. Eager to fuse fitness with friendship, our Miami team eagerly tied their laces, joined forces with thousands of fellow local runners and corporate teams, and accepted the challenge! Team captain, Hermann Gonzalez, AIA, shared, “We enjoyed participating in Miami's largest 5K. It was a great opportunity to meet with our colleagues and peers, while engaging in some healthy competition! Celebrate #WorldHeritageDay with us as we uncork the story behind Freemark Abbey Winery, located in California's world-renowned Napa Valley. In a beautiful blend of past and present, the historic Freemark Abbey Winery, dating back to 1886, was thoughtfully revitalized to offer an inviting and immersive experience. The renovation preserved the charm of the original stone building, constructed in 1899, while introducing modern touches. Guests can now enjoy diverse wine education and tasting options in the Bosche Room. The original stonework, dating back to 1886, is accentuated by custom-designed steel features that pay homage to San Francisco's iconic Ferry Building. Elegant steel trusses with gracefully arched undersides add a touch of architectural charm while connecting the winery's rich history to California's architectural heritage. The renovation creates a true wine country destination where visitors can immerse themselves in the winery's renowned winemaking philosophy and 130-year legacy.
